The Youth Club

It was a usual Wednesday at school. Nothing eventful had happened, apart from Mr.Green farting in the middle of our English class making us all nearly fall off our chairs with laughter.

At lunch break we all hung out at our usual spot outside the local shop, me, Lucy, Rachael, Tony and Ben. We had to go there so that Ben could have his cig. He was the only one out of us all that smoked, we had all tried it but Ben was the only one that liked it.

It was outside the shop that day that we made our usual arrangement to meet at the local youth club at 6.30pm that night.

As we approached the community centre where the youth club was held we could see loads of other kids from school congregated outside the doors and some of them trying to look into the windows. It was in total darkness.

What’s going onTony asked one of the kids stood outside the door.

Don’t know, looks like their isn’t any club tonight, looks like none of the leaders have turned up, the planks” said the boy in reply to Tony’s question.

Everyone was complaining to each other and calling the leaders obscene names. The five of us decided to go and sit on the grass opposite the youth club and wait for a bit to see if any of the leaders turned up. We were all disappointed and had gloomy faces.
