Imperative

The imperative mood is a form of grammar that allows the creation of a particular kind of sentence that suggests the idea of an order or command. It uses the second person plural form of a verb but - unusually – misses out the subject pronoun ‘you’. It gives orders, e.g. Leave now! Sit down.
