Adverb

An adverb is typically a word or phrase that modifies or provides extra detail to tell more about the time, place or manner of an action; however, adverbs can also modify another adverb, adjective, clause or whole sentence. For example, e.g. ‘The web site designer has worked well’; ‘He has worked particularly well’; ‘Hopefully, the web site designer is working hard.’

  • Adverbs typically function to tell more about time, place and manner.
